Last week, the second of our four planned sports halls in Lüneburg was officially opened. In the new three-field sports hall, a grandstand on the upper floor creates space for a larger audience. The identity-forming element of all four halls, the circumferential band of windows, ensures glare-free and at the same time light-flooded play. Thanks to the single-storey side area, the structure consists of two clearly identifiable elements, which breaks down the scale of the large-volume building. As a result, the sports hall blends harmoniously into its surroundings with small-scale residential buildings and the historic barracks buildings in the Hanseviertel district. We are particularly pleased with the positive feedback from local residents, which shows that the site-specific green color scheme is also good for the neighborhood.

At last, a building where fine design is unmistakable. Plus colored window frames. Hooray! Finally a unique building! Thanks to the team, the architects, who developed and implemented this concept.
