Last week we had a special visit to our construction site. Damian, our construction manager, welcomed the film club from Ratsgymnasium Rotenburg. During a joint tour of the new replacement building, the pupils were given an exciting insight into the progress of the construction work. A particular highlight of the day was the November sun shining through the large windows into the new art rooms. It already gave the students an impression of the future, light-flooded feeling of space that will accompany the creative work there one day. Where today there is still the orderly chaos of tarpaulins, barrier tape and construction site activity, the new building will later merge seamlessly with the existing school buildings. These have already been fitted with new façade panels and are being extensively renovated at the same time. The schedule is set: The new building should be completed by the end of 2025 and the entire ensemble by August 2026. Although the pupils will have to be patient until then, they will share their impressions of the construction site with their classmates in a digital Advent calendar, thus creating anticipation for the new rooms throughout the entire school community.
