Last week, our team ventured into the unknown: Tasks awaited us at Dialoghaus Hamburg, which we had to solve in complete darkness and in absolute silence. But how does collaboration work when the usual communication channels - seeing, speaking, hearing - are suddenly no longer available? We had to consciously engage with each other, find new ways of interacting and learn to lead and follow non-verbally.
One task in the dark consisted of differentiating shapes by feel alone and arranging them on a piece of cardboard under guidance. Our »fox art« was a surprise afterwards. Despite the unusual conditions, the teamwork worked surprisingly well. Our creativity was also required in the silent part of the workshop. In small groups, we structured short stories, which we later presented to the rest of the team in pantomime - a wordless collaboration that made for lots of laughs.
Finally, we went to 60seconds to Napoli. Our experiences in the dark and in silence provided plenty of topics for discussion - because the trip not only strengthened us as a team, but also opened up valuable perspectives for our daily work.
