The first stone counts

Foundation stone laid at the Freiherr-vom-Stein School in Neumünster

Last week, a milestone was set for school and club sports in Neumünster. The ceremonial laying of the foundation stone marks the official start of construction of the new three-court sports hall. The new hall will cover an area of around 1,300 m² and will be used by the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Schule and the Theodor-Litt-Schule for sports lessons and by club sports in the evenings and at weekends. A functional, architecturally clearly structured building is planned. The main structure will be a prefabricated construction with timber trusses, reinforced concrete columns and a semi-transparent polycarbonate façade. The front social wing with foyer, changing rooms and technical facilities will have vertical timber battens. The hall should be completed by the 2026/27 school year.
