We are delighted that the kick off has been given for the refurbishment and new building project at Rheine Vocational College. Over the past few months, our team has been working intensively on a design that focuses on the needs of the more than 2,300 students who are being prepared for the world of work here.
At the centre of our design is the new entrance hall, which is to become the heart of the school. Each cluster will have its own space here with a kind of shop window that offers insights into the different subject areas. In this way, we are creating an open and transparent atmosphere that reflects the diversity of the educational programme and promotes exchange between the individual clusters.
We have solved the challenge of uniting such a large school community in an open yet practical spatial concept with a well thought-out room layout. Short distances, direct connections between the individual clusters and a bicycle and car garage ensure optimum functionality.
We were able to present our design together with our partner GOLDBECK at the vocational college's educational symposium in mid-September and were delighted with the positive feedback from the school management and staff.
