Nominated

Brillux Design Award

We were nominated for the prestigious Brillux Design Award with the renovation of the high-rise residential building in Osdorfer Born. With the nomination, we have already received great recognition and we are very pleased!

The colour concept we chose for the property in Bornheide in Osdorfer Born is intended to enhance the entire district, which appears rather grey and monotonous due to the prefabricated buildings - the typical flair of the large housing estates of the 1960s and 1970s.

The formerly monotonous appearance of this high-rise is one of the defining buildings of Osdofer Born. After all, no view into the city leads past this tallest free-standing high-rise residential building. Together with the building owner altoba, a decision was made for a façade with colour accents to reflect the colourful and lively district also on the façade that characterises the cityscape. The shiny balcony elements on the south side are richly coloured and resemble a magnificent sunset in the middle of the city in the different shades of red at the right time of day. The wall colours of the arcades on the north side of the façade pick up on the respective hues.

The interior has also been renovated in order to improve the quality of life for the residents. But the effort was definitely worthwhile in terms of maintaining the value of the property and the living comfort of the residents.

We have already won the renovation award in the metal category for the exterior metal shell.
