Last week, another milestone in the construction of the new three-court sports hall on Schillerstraße in Neumünster was celebrated with a »tight ceremony«. The hall is now weatherproof, and half of the construction work is complete. The approximately 2,650 m² building offers plenty of space for physical education classes at the two neighboring schools, for club sports with more than 200 spectators, and for events with up to 900 people. A particular challenge was installing the roof beams, each with a 30-meter span and weighing eight tons, which were delivered to the construction site at night via heavy-haul transport. Now we’re looking forward to the next steps in the interior finishing work.
