Girls’ and Boys’ Day 2026

How is a school actually built, and what is it like to design one yourself? On this year’s Girls’ and Boys’ Day, Jacob, Romy, Magdalena, Svea and Vladi visited us and gave it a go. The day began with a group brainstorming session, and it quickly became clear just how diverse the ideas were that were to be incorporated into the plans. The next step was to get to work on the computers. In small teams, the pupils brought their ideas to life in ArchiCAD with support from the team and developed initial floor plans and perspectives. The focus was on experiencing how an idea becomes a concrete design. At the end, everyone took their own plans home with them – a tangible result of the day’s work. At the same time, working together naturally highlighted just how diverse our profession is and how many different perspectives come together. Curiosity, creativity and interest are not tied to any particular role model. That is precisely why it is important to us to provide insights at an early stage and offer guidance. This is how students develop their own initial approaches and ideas about what architecture can be.
